Aston Martin V12 Zagato at Nurburgring - Zag at play
We’ve had plenty to look at with the Aston Martin V12 Zagato in the last few weeks, especially when it turned up, resplendent in red, at Villa d’Este and walked away with 2011 Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes. But it’s an Aston Martin, so beauty is a given. But what about performance?
The 2013 Audi RS6 Avant has been revealed with a V8 552bhp Twin Scroll Turbo delivering 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and up to 190mph. The 2013 Audi RS6 Avant comes with a 552bhp version of the twin-scroll V8 found in the latest, most powerful Audis (and the Bentley Continental GT V8) which, despite being 28bhp down on the power of the old V10 RS6 (although it does have 37lb/ft more torque – 516lb/ft) can get to 62mph in a supercar-bashing 3.9 seconds and, in standard guise, 155mph. But spend more than the £77k Audi will want for the new RS6 Avant by opting for the Dynamic Package and top speed increases to 174mph.
Honda has released the first official images of the Prius-fighting Honda Insight, which is due to launch in the New Year at the Detroit Motor Show, and be in UK Car showrooms in the Spring of 2009. Honda has been sceptical about the future of the Hybrid/Electric car, and has expressed the view that it believes the long term future lies in Hydrogen powered EVs, rather than EVs per se. But this is a sensible move by Honda to take away sales from the Toyota Prius.
